Three days of colour, music and family fun. This traditional Framlingham Gala has been a part of Framlingham and the area for many years. Each year a new theme is chosen to make the weekend bright, full of energy, colour and music with something for all the family, young and old!

Taking place in the beautiful setting of Snape Maltings Concert Hall overlooking the marshes of the River Alde, this acclaimed festival was created by Britten and Pears in 1948 and is a musical highlight for many. Every June it brings together new commissions, world-premieres and international stars on the stretch of the Suffolk Coast which was so loved by its founder, the composer Benjamin Britten.

A truly unique, 24 hour long multi-arts, beach front festival that, as the sun rises, celebrates the UKs ‘First Light’ of as it touches Britain on the seafront of its most easterly town.

This year marks the 9th anniversary of Southwold’s eight-day exciting art festival that celebrates the best of local music, poetry, theatre and visual arts. There are also several talks that take place each year too, which are inspirational and informative.

This popular event is a celebration of Americana and roots music from both sides of the Atlantic, with live music, film and workshops. Featuring over forty different artists, across five stages indoor and out.

With the theme this year, ‘Lights, Camera, Action!’, visitors to this much loved beachside carnival will be in for a glitzy treat! Across the weekend there will be entertainment, from Friday Night Proms to Sunday Music, with a fun fair and fireworks.
