Think two living rooms - one for movie marathons, one for fireside chats and a kitchen decked out for your culinary experiments. The garden is pure bliss, with a sun-soaked patio, summerhouse, fire pit, and even electric tractors for kids (or big kids at heart)!
Bachelor’s Lodge is perfectly placed near Suffolk’s famous Wool Towns, making it easy to explore charming villages like Lavenham and Clare. But honestly, once you settle into this place, with sun-set drinks from the complimentary bar to the fire pit begging for marshmallow toasting, you might not want to leave at all. This place has all the ingredients for unforgettable memory making, with equal parts relaxation, charm, and a dash of playful mischief thrown in for good measure.

The bedrooms are all about comfort and space, with restful beds swathed in sumptuous linens, cushions, and throws. On the ground floor, there’s a king-size bedroom with a separate shower room, which is ideal for guests with limited mobility. Upstairs, you’ll find a super-king master bedroom with an en-suite, a king-size room, a twin room (or large double) and even a super secret room with a single bed and cot/toddler bed. There is also a large family bathroom with a luxurious bathtub.
The main living room is bright and airy, with plenty of comfy seating, eclectic artwork, a Smart TV and French doors leading out to the patio and garden. If you're in the mood for something cosier, head to the snug, which offers more comfy seating, another Smart TV, and a wood-burning stove for those chilly evenings. The house is well stocked with board games, toys, and books to keep everyone entertained. There's also a boot room and a cloakroom on the ground floor for added convenience.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need—two fridge-freezers, two ovens, coffee machine, and a separate utility room - perfect for cooking and cleaning up a storm! The kitchen leads through into an atmospheric dining area with enough room for everyone to gather around for memorable meals and hearty laughs.
If that wasn’t enough, the owners, Nick and Tamsin, are on hand to make sure everything goes smoothly and all your need are met. If you are planning a special occasion, there is also a separate function barn which can be made available (for an additional fee), with seating for up to 30 guests—ideal for celebrations.

Living Room
A beautiful space with 3 large sofas, coffee table, complimentary drinks trolley, SMART TV, and French doors that lead onto the patio and garden.
Kitchen
A chef’s delight offering a double oven with induction hob, two double fridge freezers, two sinks, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, Roberts radio, toaster, kettle, dining table with seating for 12 guests.
Snug
The snug is super cosy with 2 large sofas, and armchair, wood burner, SMART TV and a selection of books.
Bedroom 5
Bedrooms 5 is conveniently located on the ground floor and has suitable wheelchair access. The room offers a King-sized bed, bedside tables, two arched rattan armchairs, a wardrobe and French doors leading onto the patio.
Shower Room
The accessible shower room has a walk in shower, WC and wash basin.
Cloak Room
The cloak room has a WC and wash basin.
Boot Room
The boot room has loads of handy storage space for coats, brollies and wellies.
First Floor
Bedroom 1
An elegant bedroom with gorgeous rustic elements, Bedroom 2 offers a super king-sized bed, bedside tables and wardrobe.
Ensuite
The gorgeous ensuite has a large shower, WC and wash basin.
Bedroom 2
Pretty in pink, bedroom 2 has a king-sized bed, bedside tables, dressing table and wardrobe.
Bedroom 3
Bedroom 3 offers a large double bed (or two singles if preferred), bedside tables and a wardrobe. There is also a sliding barn-style door that leads into bedroom 4.
Bedroom 4
The secret room, ideal for kids with a single bed and a toddler bed for children up to 5 years of age.
Family Bathroom
This spacious bathroom has a large bath, WC and wash basin. -
Garden
Get ready to live your best outdoor life because this place has it all! The house is surrounded by a wrap-around patio complete with a sun terrace, plenty of seating, sun loungers, and fire pits - so you’re all set for marshmallow roasting marathons. There is even a summer house out in the meadow, with a large dining table perfect for hosting a fabulous feast.
For the kids (or, let’s be honest, the big kids too), there’s a trampoline, table tennis, garden games, and playground. And if you fancy a change of scenery, you can request two bell tents to be set up in the meadow for a little under-the-stars glamping action (season permitting, of course). -

If you’re up for a bit more adventure, you’re only 20 minutes from the stunning Ickworth House, a National Trust gem with scenic nature trails. For even more historical flavour, head a little further to Long Melford and Lavenham, both famous for their Tudor manor houses. While you’re at it, don’t miss Kentwell Hall and Melford Hall—and if you love antiques, you’re in the right place!
