Overview
When we first set our eyes upon Dolphin Cottage, we were stopped in our tracks. The allure of this charming home, lovingly refurbished in 2019, is undeniable. Every corner bears witness to the thoughtful craftsmanship and meticulous care invested in its restoration. Modern conveniences seamlessly intertwine with the cottage's original features — exposed wooden beams,... rustic brick walls, cast iron fireplaces and a graceful winder staircase.
Throughout the cottage, bold, natural tones harmonise effortlessly. Each room a unique piece of the puzzle yet forms a cohesive, homely sanctuary. Three exquisite bedrooms promise a peaceful nights rest, while the spacious living area and separate dining room provided ample space for relaxation or hosting delightful dinner parties with friends and family. Stepping outside, a sunny, paved courtyard garden awaits, inviting you to unwind with an evening sundowner or fire up the barbecue for a delicious al fresco feast.
Dolphin Cottage is located in the heart of the beautiful coast town a Southwold. Renowned for is bustling high street, pristine beach and famous pier, this is the perfect base from which to explore the Suffolk Coast.
Features
The heart of the home is the striking living room with large comfy leather sofas and a roaring wood-burner, this is the perfect spot for unwinding after a fun day exploring. The walls are adorned with nautical works of art, giving a nod to Southwold’s seafaring past.
Meander through to the welcoming kitchen with earthy tones of green and brown, with a pop of fun provided by the brightly-coloured SMEG fridge. Here you have all you need to whip up a gastronomic delight, or unpack the spoils of a local take-way (shh, we won’t tell!). Serve up your feast in... the elegant dining room which has a full-sized dining table that seats six people comfortably.
Venturing upstairs, you'll discover three airy bedrooms, each exuding timeless charm. The two double bedrooms feature sumptuously soft linens, complemented by brass beds and exquisite exposed beams adorning the walls and ceilings. The third bedroom, a delightful twin room, is a calming shade of grey with cheerful pops of sunny yellow.
Dolphin Cottage boasts not one, but two beautiful bathrooms. The ground floor shower room is bold and vibrant, with striking blue tones and a playful porthole window adding to the nautical vibe. Upstairs is the family bathroom, where dramatic black slate flooring perfectly complements the pristine white Zellige style tiles, creating a stylish sanctuary.

Living Room
Airy yet cosy, with large leather sofas, a coffee table, Smart TV (with Netflix), built in shelving with a selection of books and wonderfully warming wood-burner.
Dining Room
The dining room has a large dining table which seats six comfortably, with an original cast iron fireplace.
Kitchen
In shades of blue, brown and cream the calming kitchen has a large hob, oven, SMEG fridge, microwave, toaster and Kitchen Aid coffee machine.
Shower Room
A gorgeous wet room with underfloor heating, walk-in shower, MC and wash basin.
First Floor
Bedroom 1
This bedroom offers a large king-sized bed along with two bedside tables, blanket box and armchair.
Bedroom 2
A calming space with a double bed, and two bedside tables.
Bedroom 3
A lovely twin room with two single beds and a chest of drawers.
Family Bathroom
The family bathroom has a large bath with a traditional shower mixer, WC and wash basin. The water pressure in both bathrooms is excellent due to the large Megaflo cylinder. -
Garden
A rustic barn door opens up to the somewhat Mediterranean style courtyard garden. With olive trees and arches, the space is perfect for al fresco dining, and also boats a barbeque for lazy summer evenings. This is an idyllic spot for entertaining on warm sunny days before exploring the restaurants and bars of Southwold. -
Parking
There is one off-road parking space available in the courtyard to the rear of the cottage. There is also free, unrestricted parking on the streets surrounding the cottage. -
