Message from the Owner
Aldeburgh has always been home for me and after moving to London and starting a family, I knew we needed to try and find a little place to escape to in Aldeburgh for the holidays. The hunt for our home started in 2000 and after nearly giving up on the dream, my husband convinced me to have a look at Linnell End, so with two babies in tow we went to view it. The house showed enormous promise from the outside but then we went in and we were met with a multi coloured nightmare. Anyway, the house won us over and the deal was done. 23 years later and we have never looked back.
We are still so thankful that we are down in Crescent Road where you feel you are in the countryside but can see the river, and only a few minutes walk from the High Street and beach. I love the fact that parking is never an issue and once there you don’t need the car at all. The house itself is very comfortable and works really well whether it’s just two of us or all five of us, plus friends. We spend a lot of time at Linnell End in quiet season and so the house is very much set up as a home and not just a holiday home, so guests can enjoy the fab coffee machine too.
The things I love most about Linnell End have to be how light it is because of the huge windows and the garden that is such a joy in the summer. It is definitely my happy place.
The Location

Aldeburgh serves up some of the tastiest seafood around, including those mouthwatering fish and chips and those delectable Aldeburgh scallops. Nature enthusiasts will be thrilled with the RSPB Minsmere Reserve nearby, where you can spot all sorts of bird species and explore beautiful habitats. So, relax and enjoy the laid-back charm and coastal vibes of Aldeburgh – it's a place that will keep you coming back for more.
